By Sienna Nalin

Dating has changed over the years, especially for the young dating. With everyone wanting to gain their independence and be able to provide for themselves, some people forget that life is more than just having a career. Tradition is basically no longer here. Dating has become completely different from what it used to be. This generation of people is much more set on having careers and being financially stable instead of having a family. People much rather be independent in this day in age.

By showing comparison of all that has been said so far. In the 1950s women would get married in their 20s. Now women are waiting close to 30 to get married. Men are waiting much longer than what women are. Since these group of people are waiting so long, there is the issue that when time comes to have a family they may not know how to be monogamous.

Studies have now shown that the increase in life experiences prior to settling down make a young person much pickier regarding whom they will date. The methods of dating have now changed rather staunchly as well.

With there being the internet and casual sex now, dating is completely different. Most guys do not have the balls to speak to women face to face, and vice versa. It is a different scene with people hiding behind technology.

Tradition becomes a toss-up when it comes to online dating because some do it and some are completely against it. Some people are against online dating because they do not think of it as being real dating since these people only have interactions online and do not meet face to face.
