A List Of Spiritual Truths Shared By All Religions

By Brenda Fox

Religion is considered a common phenomenon for humanity. There are only minor differences that seek to distinguish different religious groups. However, there are spiritual truths shared by all religions around the world. It is from these principles we can deduce that the element of God is universal, only that different communities perceive it differently.

God is the creator of the world and its people. This is a principle that you will find in all religions around the world. The difference is the narrative explaining how God created different communities. Some were dropped from the skies with their animals. Others were created in a garden. After creation, God gave people the resources around them to live on and also care for. This explains why some people have land, camels, ocean and such other features.

Love for fellow human being is a command that God the creator gave to all human beings. It is from this principle that morality arises. People are required to live by a certain moral code that is based on love for one another. It is shown by not hurting others, not killing, taking care of properties of other people and such acts.

Humanity around the world is required to abandon evil. All religions point at negative things in the world that should not be condoned. They include taking away property that belongs to other people, killing, lies, negative thoughts and damage of property, among other evil acts. There is punishment for people who are evil. In fact, according to most religious believes, this evil only returns to hurt you and not the person it has been meted on.

The life of hope is a call for all religious communities. Life is full of struggles that could cause people to lose hope. There is no room for losing hope. There are numerous support elements in religious communities that will help you maintain hope. They include prayer and communion with fellow faithful. Hopelessness is even punishable in some religions. It shows that you do not believe in God as your shield and provider.

It is normal and expected to face struggles in life but you have a responsibility to overcome. The earth was not meant to be a place of peace and tranquility. This is why the daily struggle should be to overcome the pain. Those who overcome have a reward waiting for them in heaven or after-life. In fact, struggling is meant to polish you for the life after.

There is a heaven after earth. It might not be regarded as Heaven but there is a place where good people go after conquering the difficulties of this earth. In reverse, there is hell prepared for the evil people. This is why everyone is invited to be good and aim to get to the place of reward. Hell is a place for punishing evil doers.

The principles are given different names and manifestations but they remain similar in all religious groupings. A perfect example is the reference of God by different names. Family is important in all religious communities but its composition differs. Such principles cement the fact that humanity has a single origin, aspiration and destiny.
