Reputable Charities Help Society In Many Ways

By Cynthia Green

There is blessing in giving. It is better to give than to receive. The most blessed people on earth are those who give. The giving hand will never face lack but will always have abundance. Giving to reputable charities is the best thing that a person can do. The money given will end up improving lives all over the world. It is a great human virtue to help a person who is in need. On the other hand, it is a vice to ignore a suffering person if an individual is in a position to offer much needed help.

It takes just one reputable charity to make the world a better place. This charity can be helping poor people to live descent lives. Poverty is a reality of life. It is a reality that human beings should accept and commit to eradicate. If people are serious, poverty will be totally eliminated from the world in a matter of decades.

A famous man once said that poverty is a great scar in the conscience of the world. Another great man who happens to be a former Nobel Peace Prize winner said that poverty should be consigned to the museums. Future generations should not see poverty in its ugly and real form. Instead, they should see it in pictures found in museums.

A good charity can be dealing with the issue of education. In the United States of America as well as in many European countries, there is free education from primary school to university. In addition, there are state of the art education facilities. That is not the case in most parts of Africa, the Middle East, and even Asia.

The one characteristic of the least developed countries on earth is the low literacy level. Actually, there are billions of people all over the world who do not know how to read and write. Some of these people are found in a number of developed nations. In some African countries, there are few schools and lack of quality reading materials.

Through charity, billions of people all over the world can be able to access the most basic needs. It is sad that what is a basic need in the Western world is a luxury in the developing world. No Westerner can consider food as a luxury. That is something that the typical Westerner has plenty of and throws some away.

Good charitable organizations dig boreholes in poor countries. These boreholes provide people with water. There are organizations that feed the hungry. In the West, people have plenty of food to the extent that they throw away a lot of food. In developing nations, many people normally go to bed hungry.

A human being should have a caring heart. He should care about the welfare of other people. Many people out there need help and it is only charity work that can help. One might not go on the ground and physically help the needy but he can make a contribution to organizations that are able to do so. There is no contribution that is too small. What matters the most is to contribute from the heart.
