The Episcopal Church In Lake Norman NC Is Based On The Bible

By Sandra Schmidt

Since the dawn of Christianity, the world has never been the same again. It has changed for the better. Millions of lives have been transformed by the powerful messages of Christianity. People who used to do vile acts no longer do such acts because of the transformative nature of Christianity. It all started in Jerusalem, Israel. Presently, Christianity is a global phenomenon. There is no continent in the world that has been untouched by Christianity. Even in the remotest parts of the world, one will find Christians. In America, there is the Episcopal Church in Lake Norman NC and many other churches.

The Episcopal Church is Bible based. That is the truth. It is the reality. A true Episcopalian believes in the Bible a hundred percent. He does not have any doubts about Scripture. He knows that heaven and earth will pass away but no single word of Scripture will pass without being fulfilled fully. The Scripture is holy and inspired.

Every true Christian believer out there should remember that the Bible is holy, true, and inspired. Thus, it should not be taken lightly. Scripture needs to be taken seriously because no single word of Scripture has ever failed. Every believer should read and understand the Bible. Group study of Scripture is also encouraged by the Episcopal Church. This facilitates a deeper level of understanding.

Scripture starts with the book of Genesis and end with Revelation. In between, there are many books that will encourage the believer to live a righteous life. Some books are prophetic in nature due to the fact that they were written by prophets. There are Bible books that are usually considered as gospel books. They include the gospel of Matthew.

The book of Revelation documents the end of times. Most Christians are afraid of reading Revelation. However, that is not the case with Episcopalians. Most of them have been encouraged to read this book so that they can be able to know what will happen to the world during the end times. Actually, the end of the world is near.

There are many things that are discussed in the New Testament. Of course, the message of love is dominant. A believer needs to have love in his heart. Hate is a bad thing. Another major highlight of the New Testament is the issue of new birth. This is achieved through the process of baptism. Water baptism is needed.

Baptism is symbolic in every sense and respect. It symbolizes the death of the old self that is the man of sin, and the birth of the new person. A person who has been baptized has become as white as snow. Therefore, all the sins that he did in the past have been forgiven and forgotten. After baptism, there should be righteous living.

Life is full of decisions. People have to make decisions on a daily basis. On one hand, there are the good decisions of life. On the other hand, there are the bad decisions. The decision to become a Christian and subsequently to be baptized is the best decision that a person can make in the present day life. This decision has positive eternal consequences.
