SDA Church Mckinleyville Is A Christian Denomination

By Joshua Hall

Christianity has existed for thousands of years. It will not end any time soon. As a matter of fact, it will continue existing until the end of time. Christianity has shaped world history. Presently, it is the biggest world religion. It is followed by Islam. Christianity has many denominations. The most popular is Catholicism. Roman Catholic is headed by a pope. When reformation happened, there was the birth of Protestantism that presently has many faiths. Later in history, Adventism started in United States. In California, one will find an SDA church Mckinleyville. This has thousands of followers.

One of the countries with the largest number of Christians is United States of America. In every five Americans, one is likely to find more than one Christian. As a matter of fact, the American Constitution was formed on Christian values but it allows the freedom of religion. That is why America is a very progressive nation on planet earth.

SDA is uniquely American. It has its headquarters in US. Most of the early Adventist missionaries were American. On the other hand, Catholic has its headquarters in Rome, Italy while Anglican Church is based in United Kingdom. Actually, the Western world has contributed a lot in the spread of Christianity although presently most Christians on planet earth are found in Africa, South America and Asia.

SDA is American in every sense and respect but Adventists come from different walks of life, races, professions, and countries. Anyone irrespective of creed or nationality can become an Adventist. Seventh Day Adventist is a Christian denomination. However, it differs from the other denominations when it comes to the day of worship. For the case of Adventists, it is Saturday.

In Adventism, there is no book that is more superior to the Bible. That is also the case with the other denominations. It is believed that the Bible is inspired and holy. According to the Holy Bible, heaven and earth will pass away but no single Bible message will go without being fulfilled. That has been the case in every Biblical scenario.

The Bible has the Old Testament. That is simply the old covenant. There is also the New Testament that covers the new covenant and it is considered as the bedrock of Christianity. The Old Testament is full of prophesies by major and minor prophesies. The New Testament is simply the fulfillment of prophesies and the plan of salvation.

An Adventist who has an interest in going to heaven will read his Bible on a regular basis. An SDA pastor has to preach straight from the Holy Bible. No Biblical message should be altered or bended in any way as that will bring condemnation. At the end of the day, what is needed the most is the full Bible truth.

Christianity did not start yesterday. Christianity is a denomination that has a rich history. Empires have risen and fallen. Great men have risen to the prominence of power and latter dethroned. However, Christianity has remained steadfast because it is set on a very strong foundation that spans millennia. Christianity partly borrows from Judaism as contained in Old Testament. However, it is unique in many respects.
