Lake Norman District Episcopal Church St. Patricks

One of the more progressive and welcoming denominations of the Christian branches is that of the Episcopal church. In the Lake Norman district episcopal church, this would be Saint Patricks. For, Saint Patricks provides a welcome mat decorated in diversity which welcomes all people to attend the church.

One reason many choose Saint Patricks is because of the strong vision with regards to embracing and inspiring members of the congregation. In addition, with aspirations which include diversity, growth in spirit, praise and worship, the church often has something for everyone.

When it comes to spirituality, the church focuses on a God centric approach that promotes diversity in worship, meditation, education and leadership. In addition, St. Patricks has a broad horizon when it comes to sharing with regards to different experiences related to faith. As part of the process, there are a number of events in which members can share whether over a meal, a hymn or a prayer circle.

In addition to ongoing bible readings and prayer, the church fosters meditation, education and worship. Whereas, those involved in the church offer services to the local community when and where needed. As such, Saint Patricks is well respected by the congregation and the community at large. Whether providing food to the elderly, delivering gifts to the less fortunate at Christmas, or helping a member with a small loan, the Episcopalian belief in assisting others in need has not been overlooked by Saint Patricks.

While there are numerous study groups, Brawley Crawleys is a group which originated from a Lenten group almost ten years ago. The name comes from a local road that was widened in the area. As such, it is one of the more successful groups which is focused on widening the mind when it comes to all things spiritual.

In this case, the study group reads several different texts by religious scholars, then each individual provides a report. After which, there is a shared discussion to discuss different aspects of the material. After which, members often leave with a deeper sense of spirituality and a stronger connection to the Divine.

Unlike many fundamentalist right wing congregations, Saint Patricks works to honor the early traditions of the Episcopalian belief system. In the process, those involved welcome the opportunity to learn about different religious and spiritual understandings. While this is the case, the living Christ remains at the center of the Episcopalian belief while the church also embraces the concept of God the Father, Christ the Son and the Holy Ghost.

The Episcopal denomination is all inclusive unlike many others. As such, diversity of all kinds, including LGBTQ+ focused individuals are accepted and welcomed. In addition, those questioning, seeking or doubting faith whether due to a continued search, or life experience are also welcome at worship services. One major difference between other Christian denominations and Episcopalians is the belief that Science and faith can both share a place in the spiritual world.
