They have other events and invitations to honor. You therefore need unique save the dates items that will capture their imagination and keep the dates on their minds. It is also a way of personalizing the invitation such that it has more impact.

Go for uniquely shaped cards. Some people find shapes to be memorable. They also leave a lasting impression in the mind. Other than use the usual rectangle shapes, go for new shapes like diamonds, hexagons, circles, etc. Enhance the invitation by providing a hook, stand, thread to hang, etc. Provide a unique feature that makes it stand out among many other invitations.

Use a caricature on your card. Enlist the services of an excellent artist to provide a caricature of the wedding couple. The caricature should capture a celebratory mood which will be picked by the invited guests. The theme color of the caricature should rhyme with what you have chosen for your big day. Keep the caricature simple to avoid making it appear like a joke to your guests.

There is magic in using a vintage photograph. Weddings have been associated with vintage cars and a laughing couple. Have a vintage black and white wedding photo on your card. A classic car with flowers will perfectly present your mood. This is a distinct departure from the use of clip arts and words to pass the message. The picture should be professionally assimilated into the invitation.

Consider a sticker ticket as part of your invitation. People use stickers of different colors and shapes as reminders on computers, desks, boards, etc. Include a sticker when making your cards such that it will be pasted on a calendar or any other visible area for your guests. The sticker should capture the date and venue of your celebration.

Be artistic in your invitation. Cards are easy to forget and even discard before the wedding. To make your day memorable to all, find an artistic object like a flag, bracelet, embossed cup, etc. You may also curve the invitation on a piece of wood. The artistic feel will prevent guests from discarding your invitation. The invitation will stay beyond the actual date and into your anniversaries.

Consider your friends who speak a different language. Consider writing the message in different languages. It accommodates all your friends, especially those from different nationalities, and is also stylish. By accommodating their language, you give the invitation a personalized feel. When the messages are printed on a single card, it saves money.

Embrace technology. Digital invitations are as effective as the use of physical cards. Record an audio or video and broadcast it to friends. You will not need to search for them physically or drop the cards from door to door. The invitation can be replayed time and again. Others will convert it into a ring tone and forever remember the date.
