Designer Jewelry Trends For All Seasons

By Paul Adams

Our gay apparel is not complete if we do not accessorize it. We can either spend too much or too little. Either way, what is important, is that we make it a point to make it last enough from one season to the next. All the best outfits are not complete without accessory, without jewelry.

That is the goal. Try to look at the designer jewelry trends, that made it to the runways, street style, and yes, front row with the rich and famous. From studs to headpieces, to simple chic designs and necklaces. Every last piece of jewelry worth putting on is evolving in style. Like putting studs. Right now the biggest trend in jewelry is the mismatched stud and an edgy pearl earring. It goes with leather or a little black dress, to complete an edgy look. Very modern, with a touch of sass because of contemporary pearls.

Hollywood had the best of them laid out, as the crowd of tinseltown sat in the front row. Nary a piece was missing on hands, necks, heads and ears. No, they would not take that chance. And designers had them showcased on the runways. There are few that must, by all means, be named.

Garden Flowers. The Ladies suddenly loved floral themes on their heads and necks. Bracelets and necklaces now come as floral pieces. These are worn even when you do not attend a summer party. It just really adds a romantic touch for a rather casual look.

Floral Feels. This is somehow associated with the previous trend mentioned. Girls found a way in making it an adornment, especially on their hair. Flower crowns even when there is no music festival. Floral necklaces going with deep v neck cut dresses and tops. It makes for a romantic look, especially for 3 seasons, summer, spring and fall.

Ear cuffs. They are very popular in the red carpet for the young A listers and those attending music awards. Nothing can be trendier than those worn by the stars. Although ear cuffs had been around for quite some time, they do not show any sign of staying out of style. Only getting more stylish being reinvented.

Crosses. The time has finally come when people do not need to get symbols connected to religion. The cross design graced headpieces, bracelets and necklaces, mostly in gold. It is simple, yet feminine and stylish. Wear it layered on your neck or wrists, and your look is complete and effortless.

Retro best. Yes, the 80s are making a comeback as well. In fact, it has been doing so, since about 2012. From dangling oversized earrings to necklaces, bangles and conversation starter rings in neons, they are seen all over. It must be the added effect of drama on any simple outfit that makes it a hit over and over again. You cannot just get rid of it, for people like drama. Admit it. It adds style. It adds sass and pretty woman points.

People wish to standout. Somehow, without making an effort, they manage to. Sometimes, you need a little help. That is where you can thank the fashion industry. Trends do not last forever, but style always does. And jewelry does not have to be out style. It just evolves to be more useful as an adornment. It would not hurt to let it do its trick in making you a street style siren.
