The Predictions Of Wars From The Book Of Daniel Prophecy

By Steven Carter

While there are many prophecies that can be found in the Bible, one very interesting one can be found in Daniel. The Book of Daniel Prophecy contains the hardest chapters to decipher. However, it is important because it also contains some visions about the end times that all Christians have to take note of.

Now, these visions were actually found in between chapter ten up to twelve with twelve possibly also talking about the wars that could be signifying the end times. In fact, one may even draw out some similarities between the visions of the chapter and some chapters of Revelations. More like, the visions happen after the third year of Cyrus and before the Revelation times.

First, chapter ten stated that a supernatural being is going to be in battle with the prince of Persia in the third year of Cyrus. This actually plays into history because Cyrus was the conqueror of Babylon. The vision given by the angel showcased war made by this Persian conqueror before it even happened.

Now, the next chapter would then state the prediction of another war but this time with the prince of Greece. This actually refers to the Macedonia Greece war that was staged by the conqueror Alexander the Great. Accurately, this also depicts the conquests of the great conqueror as well as his downfall giving rise to the next empire.

After that, the vision then showed the Roman Empire during its rise in sixty four BC up until Seventy AD. In between that was the conquering of Jerusalem by Pompey which happened sometime during Sixty three BC. Finally, the death of the next big prince, which was none other than Julius Caesar, was also showed metaphorically to Daniel through the vision.

Now, the last chapter that states the visions, which is chapter twelve, may be interpreted in different ways. First, it could be interpreted as the appearance of the Messiah and His inevitable death at the cross and his resurrection. Following that would be the shaping of this new kingdom of God leading to various troubles and sacrifices.

The Christian millennials, on the other hand, interpret this last chapter as the restoration of the modern day Israel as well as the return of Christ. They would also interpret the last few chapters of chapter eleven as the rise of the Antichrist who started taking over the world. This chapter showcases the rise of the Antichrist as well as his or her fall.

What makes this chapter extremely interesting is that there are so many possible messages that can be deciphered from the book. Another very remarkable thing about these chapters is that they predicted the big wars from big empires even before they happened such as the Macedonia Greek war and more. If one would want to interpret the last chapter as the end of times, then it would make things even more interesting because then there would be more specific details of what to expect leading up to the predictions stated in Revelations.
