The Velveteen Rabbit Challenge And Positive Change

When it comes to eliminating darkness and finding the light in life, it can often be difficult for some individuals. However, when it comes to the Velveteen Rabbit Challenge, that is exactly the plan. For, just think how refreshing it would be to see people become more rather than less motivated, take pride in work and display a sense of self-mastery when life provides challenges and obstacles.

The challenge is based on the reality that only people whom work hard are able to discover one's true potential and sense of self. For, only when people can overcome obstacles and challenges in life can one learn to help others. As such, the ability to work toward future visions and goals in the future is also essential to success.

While the challenge does promote change, change can often time. Although, when having patience, compassion and trust, most individuals have been successful when going through the re-birthing process necessary for creating long lasting change. While this is the case, the process takes focus and commitment. For, it can often be easier to hold on to old ways of doing things rather than focusing on change in the present and future.

By examining oneself and peeling back layers of past experiences, people can be reborn into a truer nature. While undergoing this challenge, people recycle through birth and death many times over during life. In this case, the word dying meaning to eliminate the old ways of life and coming to terms with the darker side which exist within all human beings.

By taking a close look within the inner-self, individuals can examine present and past behavior and experiences without judgment or criticism. In doing so, individuals are allowed to awaken to this new reality by eliminating the dark aspects of the past. For, when individuals are holding to residual emotional pain and discomfort, it can often be transferred to others in different ways, often without knowledge.

Acceptance is another key element when it comes to the challenge. For, individuals often learn to love and understand past experiences, even those related to the dark side. As such, acceptance and understanding when it comes to the characteristics of the rabbit are two of the most important aspects of change.

Whether waking up to the rabbit due to sickness, threats, loss of loved ones or a relationship, it is often during trying times that individuals make this discovery. For, the light within can often become overshadowed during these and other life events. Whereas, when recovering from loss or other trauma, individuals often mature enough to recognize the importance of peace, love and understanding, all of which are characteristics of the light which the rabbit provides.

While people may feel ragged, torn and exhausted, change can take place. For, if individuals have the courage to erase the past and move toward the future, change is a natural process. It is important to be aware of these changes to assure that negative behaviors are eliminated while positive change takes place. After which, if individuals grow and nurture these changes, the changes will become seeds of growth into a happier, healthier and more positive life experience.
