The Beliefs Of The First Baptist Church San Antonio TX

By Jason Turner

Belief is the most powerful human sense. It is more powerful than sight, smell, or even hearing. A person with a deep Christian belief sees things that the human eye cannot see. He hears supernatural things. Of course, a staunch Christian belief is not built overnight. It takes time to be a strong believer and follower of the Christian teachings of a First Baptist Church San Antonio TX. First, one hears a Christian teaching then he believes it and follows it. The Bible says that faith as small as the mustard seed is enough to move a mountain.

The life of a real Baptist revolves around Christian beliefs that have been passed down through many generations from the days of old. One of such beliefs is Baptism. This is simply the gateway to a brand new life. All human beings have been called to Baptism through the full immersion in water and the repentance of sin.

Before baptism, one will have to accept that he is a sinner. There is no human being who has never committed sin. From the point of birth, a human being is a sinner and he continues sinning during the course of his life. Just before baptism, one will have to repent of all his sins and turn away from sin.

After Baptism, one should strive to be as sinless as possible. Definitely, human is to error but there are sins that are worth avoiding after baptism. If by accident a believer stumbles, he should not remain down but should lift himself up and continue with the journey of faith. One should learn from his stumbles and avoid repeating mistakes.

The Baptist belief is biblical in every sense and respect. It is 100% biblical. A true Baptist believes that the Holy Bible alone is sufficient for redemption. No single word should be removed or added to the Bible. It is complete by itself and it is holy and true. All biblical prophesies are always fulfilled in due time.

There are the Old and the New Testaments. The Old Testament is basically made up of prophesies most of which are fulfilled in the new. The latter testament starts with the book of Mathew and end with Revelation that foreshadows what is it to come in the End Times. Most Christians believe that the end is near because of the signs.

Of course, the New Jerusalem is where the believer should focus on. This is a city of gold where there will be no night there. There will be no suffering or tears in the New Jerusalem. It will be an age of bliss. Earthly life is just but a temporary journey that will end one day. That is the reality.

Some said that Christianity will end in their lifetime while others said it will end in a hundred years. They were all disappointed because thousands of years later, Christianity is still strong and going forward. Christianity will endure to the very end. Over the centuries, Christianity has evolved from Catholicism to many great denominations. All Christian denominations that fully believe in the Bible are good.
