A routine is necessary in order to get going and begin to move on with life.

Of course, not everyone is able to improve overnight. It takes baby steps, along with a lot of encouragement and motivation. There are many very good antidepressants that can help the individual function as well. Counselors will work together with psychiatrists should they feel medication is necessary. Of course, this is always a debatable topic because medication can make you feel so much better, but it shouldn't be something that solves all of your problems.
