The Most Vicious Enemy Of Dreams

By Evan Sanders

"The worst enemy to creativity is self-doubt." Sylvia Plath

When we begin to significantly doubt ourselves, our complete world begins falling apart. That's a pretty bold statement, but if we truly dive into the after effects of what occurs when doubt crawls into our lives, it truly does come true. We can even take it a step farther in regard to chasing dreams. Since the playing field is even more competitive, and doubt comes into our minds, that's when it actually does spoil everything or seems to put a total stop to everything we've ever wanted in this life.

You see, dreams demand everything from you. They demand your complete attention, work ethic, eagerness, integrity, and desire to sacrifice a good deal to achieve them. But when you start doubting your dream and what you're doing in life, you aren't giving it your all.

When you listen to somebody talking of a dream, there's this sense you get from them that they know something is going to happen notwithstanding great amounts of anxiety surrounding the entire thing. There's an innate sense of belief that roots itself so very deeply in that person that they can't possibly be defeated. That's true and real faith.

But when you listen to someone who is talking about their passions, and you get the sense that they are slightly on edge about it all, you can be pretty sure that they will really never achieve what they set out to do. It's not you are rooting against them, but it's that you know dreams take everything and giving it less than that, well, it just won't work out in any way. So pour yourself into what you adore and let doubt vanish from your mind. Others may say it's not practicable but the inconceivable has been achieved many many times through history.

Give it a shot. Anything could happen.
